Summer Time For Teachers

What do most teachers do during the summer?  Some teach summer school, tutor, vacation or just rest up for next year.  Others have to take classes to stay certified.  Some get summer jobs.  Others teach vacation bible school or go on mission trips.  Some just hang out at the beach or pool.  If you are a teacher what do you do?

Merit Pay for Teachers

What do you think about merit pay for teachers?  I am not sure where I stand as it is hard to measure.  Good teachers get stuck with harder classes because they can handle them.  Some of the worst teachers get the best classes because they can not handle problem classes.  What is fair when it comes to merit pay?  Testing?  Probably not.  What do you think?

Teachers Pay Teachers is Awsome

Gotta love teachers pay teachers.  They have some great lessons.  Many of them are free or cheap.  For a couple of bucks you could have a weeks worth of lessons.  You can find almost any lesson you need on Teachers Pay Teachers.  The lessons are ranked by users of the product and the more stars the more likely the product is good.  Teachers should really check this site out.
